The New England Patriots equaled their top unbeaten stretch from the Tom Brady era as they overcame AFC East rivals the New York Jets 27-14 in the NFL

Rookie Henderson was the standout with three touchdowns as the Patriots notched an eighth consecutive victory for the first time since iconic QB Brady's closing campaign with the franchise in 2019

QB Drake Maye threw for 281 passing yards and a score, completing 25 passes from 34 throws

Victory bolsters the Patriots lead at the summit of the division as they advanced to nine victories against two losses, with the Jets at the foot after slipping to a 2-8 mark

The opposing team had scored first at their home field with QB Justin Fields running in a short rushing score to finish the Jets' first possession

But the home team fought back in the second period as Henderson ran in two short rushing scores before the running back grabbed a reception from Drake Maye at the back of the end zone in the middle of the third quarter to extend the lead to 21 to 7

"That was a big time for him delivering, and it's been fantastic for him to keep earning playing time," Maye commented on Henderson. "He desires to be outstanding."

Justin Fields found Metchie in the latter part of the third period to reduce the lead for the visitors but Andy Borregales booted a pair of field goals in the final period as the Patriots wrapped up the victory
