The Pop Star Embraces a Twisted Persona of Herself in Mockumentary Preview
The Grammy-winning artist is preparing for a substantial cinematic onslaught in 2026, kicking off with the satirical film titled The Moment.
Throughout the movie, she plays what she refers to as a twisted version of herself.
It’s the realest depiction of the entertainment world that I’ve ever witnessed, the star stated.
She elaborated in a discussion: It’s far from a live performance documentary, yet the concept stemmed from the expectation to make one.
An Early Look into The Moment
The debut trailer, unveiled on Thursday, combines real clips from Charli’s Sweat tour with fictionalized behind-the-scenes moments.
The mockumentary is directed and co-written by Aidan Zamiri, who shared that the story centers on a world where the artist made entirely different choices during the promotion of her hugely successful record Brat.

This project is just one of many future movie projects for the musician, who recently featured in three cinematic festival entries this year.

The following year will also see the artist with Olivia Wilde in romantic thriller I Want Your Sex, Natalie Portman in art world thriller The Gallerist, and Barbie Ferreira in horror remake Faces of Death.
Additionally, she agreed to appear in the actress’s first film as director A Tree in Blue.
I’m thoroughly loving my cinematic path, Charli expressed. I feel very, very inspired currently in that field, and I only ever aim to pursue things that inspire me.
Musical Contributions
The month of February will also include the debut of the director’s adaptation of Wuthering Heights, which will include new music from Charli.
Additionally, she will compose the score for the story Mother Mary, with Anne Hathaway and Michaela Coel, set to be released soon.
The film will be released on January 30.
